History has been made through the 92nd Academy Awards with Bong Joon-Ho’s Parasite winning four major categories, including the Best Picture, which marks them as the first foreign, non-English film that won the award.
On the other side, Todd’s Phillips Joker took just two out of four categories, with Joaquin Phoenix as the Best Actor, he stepped into the stage and conducted the most heartful speech, mentioning his late brother, River Phoenix who surely inspired him a lot. The Oscars 2020 was a big deal for Brad Pitt, who also – just like Phoenix – got his very first Oscars for the Best Supporting Actor in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Highlighting the performers’ line, Janelle Monae has surely kicked off the show. But as the moment goes, Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ surprise performance was really something! Imagine after 18 years since his winning the Original Song and still got the remarkable standing ovation!
Meanwhile, the sibling-duo Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell paid tributes to some legends who passed in 2019 and early 2020, including Kobe Bryant and Kirk Douglass, by singing ‘Yesterday’ from The Beatles. Broadway and Disney’s Frozen star, Idina Menzel brought the mesmerizing performance of the movie’s top-hit, ‘Into the Unknown’, along with AURORA, as well as as well the voices of Elsa from Denmark, Germany, Japan, Latin America, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, and Thailand.
