The 10th Edition of Brightspot Market: A Celebration of One Decade
Being the most anticipated event, Brightspot Market is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, by bringing various curated products, arts and excitement to The Marketplace, District 8, SCBD. Ever since its first event back in 2009, Brightspot Market has been the biggest event to pampering the online shopping enthusiast, and for this year, they have returned carrying the theme of Inward Onward.
Not only spoiled by the variety of pop-up booth from Fashion Apparel, Food & Beverages, Beauty & Essentials with around 300 tenants participated, visitors also welcomed with some experience corners such as the disco roller-skate and the VR games provided by Flix Cinema. The 10th edition of Brightspot Market also feature numbers of inspirational names to be part of their talks panel, including Chef Renatta Moeloek, Dion Wiyoko and Laura Basuki, Tara Basro, Ario Pratomo, Adityalogy and many more.
Fulfilling Belly and Culinary Knowledge at Jakarta Culinary Feastival
The 6th edition of Jakarta Culinary Feastival 2019 was held in Senayan City, starting from October 3 to 6 2019. This time, the annual culinary festival carried the concept of In Bloom.
The event was divide into two different areas, the Spoon Tent where visitors could enjoy a variety of dishes from most of the famous restaurant in Jakarta, and also included the 20 most favorite Go-Food merchants. The Spoon Tent was also the main area for the talks & discussion panel for the JCF’s guest stars and key speakers. Moving on to the second area dubbed the Fork Tent, where visitors are spoiled with an array of dessert and choice of coffee. The Fork Tent feature the giant Boba Pool as its main decoration element that surely attracted visitors to take pictures.
Not only serving the visitors with 49+ food and beverages options, the event also provided some interesting activities. Alongside with the Wine Tasting and Cooking Demo, the event also provided a Masterclass Session for the visitors who were keen to learn more on cooking with the experts.
A Beneficial Weekend at iDEAFest 2019
iDEAFest is an annual creative festival that connects and inspires creative communities to grow. With 250+ speakers, also adding 130 sessions, this year’s event carried the theme of Age of Pride, inspired by the Indonesian Creative Industries that have reached the International market. Zach King, the Digital Magician and Filmmaker, was one of their special speakers. He showed us one of his contribution in a 2016 Disney hit movie, Zootopia, as unnamed wolf who was suppressed and taken in by the ZPD.

Not to mention the director and writer of “Perempuan Tanah Jahanam” and “Gundala”, Joko Anwar, sets up about Original Cinematic Universe with BumiLangit. For the next project, will be Virgo, Sri Asih then followed by another movies. The enthusiastic is surely proven by the long queue lines and the full seated room!
Synchronize 2019, Everyone’s Festival!
Thousand audiences, from pop, R&B, rock & roll to dangdut, what else could you ask for a decent music festival? Happened on 4 – 6 October 2019 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran – Jakarta, Sychronize Festival is an annual multi-genre national music festival that encourages thousands of viewers to support diversity of music in five stages. We could feel an instant flashback from 90’s musicians such as Didi Kempot, Project Pop, Sheila On 7, you name it. But the best things happened unexpectedly. They didn’t show this legendary name on the line up, but Iwan Fals was the lovely surprise on day 2.
Apart from the music affair, Synchronize Festival was a bit special since they involved Green Movement this year. They had ‘Bring Your Own Tumbler’ program to lessen the disposable bottle waste. Another activity like “Crowdsourcing Project” for the audience to donate their suitable colored clothing for people who needed. And lastly, in order to reduce the pollution “Bike to Synchronize Fest” are being held from Blok M Plaza to Kemayoran. Overall, Sychronize Festival 2019 did a very remarkable job at making an epic yet a go-green event. See you next year!
Spotify On Stage Jkt 2019, Getting Closer with Your Idols
Held for the third times, this year SOS felt so much more legit with the appearance of the most listened hip-hop artist on Spotify in Indonesia, Rich Brian. His famed-songs like 100 Degrees, Yellow, Kids, Drive Safe and Rapapapa from his newest album ‘The Sailor’ has successfully made the crowd sang their heart out! Starring the K-Pop multinational group hits, (G)I-DLE has received 250 million streams in Spotify. Performing a set of five songs, one of them is their top song “POP/STARS” that also contributed more than 100 million streams.
Another Korean smashing boyband, ATEEZ as short for ‘ATEEnagerZ’ started their first debut at 2018 ‘Extended Play’, TREASURE EP.1: All To Zero. “Everytime we come to Jakarta, the crowd is always amazing. As soon as possible, we’ll be back to Jakarta”, they stated. Also featuring fresh Indonesian artists, the great quartet: Arsy Widodo, Brisia Jodie, Marion Jola, and Rizky Febian. Collaboration is not a new thing for them. For Arsy and Brisia, they launched a top hit song “Dengan Caraku”, also Marion and Rizky in “Tak Ingin Pisah Lagi”.
